The presentation will help us understand what constitutes online hate, its impact on individuals, and effective strategies to address it - as victims, bystanders, and allies.   

About the Speaker

Dr. Conita Ip is a registered social worker (RSW) in Alberta. She earned her Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Calgary, specializing in immigrant mental health and mental health service utilization. Dr. Ip served as the lead researcher and author of the Digital Citizen Project (Block Online Hate, Unlock Resilience) for the ACCT Foundation. In addition to offering counselling services in the community, she also teaches counselling at Ambrose University.
