Starting over in a new country can feel both exciting and overwhelming—especially when it comes to building relationships and navigating unfamiliar systems. In this session, Sarah Sherman shares both lived experience and practical tools to help youth and families understand what healthy relationships look like, how to recognize red and green flags, and how to communicate safely and effectively.

Grounded in the work of We’re Here For You Canada, this presentation also highlights where to access trusted support, resources, and community connections across Canada—so no one has to navigate difficult situations alone.

Content Note: This session includes non-graphic discussion of intimate partner violence, including warning signs, safety considerations, and how to seek help and support.
